Milk is Quantum is a puzzle game in which you play as a cute cat trying to reach its beloved milk, and you are making your own rules!
Rules are present in the game as interacting blocks: moving them you will create new mechanisms for each level! You may say at this point: “wait, but I already know this game, it’s Baba is you” ! Well… yes, but actually, no. In Milk is Quantum, you’re in a world that follows the strange and exotic rules of Quantum Mechanics. Explore concepts like Quantum Superposition, Quantum Measurement, and Entanglement, by yourself, literally building them from… blocks!
Move with WASD, measure (you will get what a measurement is playing) with F and restart with R, that's all you need to know! Go drink that Qilk!!

Because our game uses a real quantum simulator to simulate all the quantum effects, you will need to have python 3.6 installed with qiskit to play this game.
We have attempted to package python with the game, but because it's a game jam, we have not yet had the opportunity to test it thoroughly.
If everything goes according to plan, you should be able to run the file in the MIQ - with Python.rar directly, without any of the steps underneath.
However, you might get an error that the game cannot find Python36.dll (or somethign similar). To solve this, you need to install python 3.6 and add it to the environment variables PATH and PYTHONHOME of your operating system (Windows). After updating BOTH environment variables, you need to restart your computer for the changes to take into effect. Install the dependencies by downloading the requirements.txt file we provided and using "pip install -r requirements.txt". And then you are ready to play the game.
In case you already have python3.6 installed as stated above and the dependencies described in requirements.txt, or MIQ - with Python.rar is not working for you at all, we have also added a version of the game MIQ.rar that comes without python.
